What Is Andrographis Paniculata Extract?

Andrographis Paniculata Extract is derived from the aerial parts, primarily the leaves and stems, of Andrographis paniculata, an herbaceous plant belonging to the Acanthaceae family and widely distributed across tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. Commonly known as the "King of Bitters," this plant is a cornerstone in traditional medicinal systems such as Ayurveda. The extract's primary bioactive compounds are diterpene lactones, with andrographolide being the most significant and abundant active constituent.
