D-Biotin(Vitamin B7)
What Is D-Biotin(Vitamin B7)?
D-Biotin, commonly known as Vitamin B7 or Vitamin H, is a water-soluble B-complex vitamin essential for human and animal health. Chemically, it is a heterocyclic compound consisting of a ureido ring fused with a tetrahydrothiophene ring and a valeric acid side chain. While biotin exists in eight stereoisomers, only the naturally occurring D-biotin possesses full biological activity. It is widely sourced from natural foods such as egg yolks, animal livers, nuts, and whole grains, and can also be synthesized endogenously by intestinal bacteria.
