What is Indole-3-Carbinol?

Indole-3-Carbinol (abbreviated as I3C) is a phytochemical naturally found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, and kale. When these vegetables are cut or chewed, their components undergo enzymatic reactions, which generate I3C.
